Expert Profile:

Ye Maolin is a researcher at the Institute of Archaeology, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and a Professor at the School of History and Culture, Lanzhou University. He has long worked in the Gansu-Qinghai Archaeological Team and Sichuan Archaeological Team of the Institute of Archaeology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, mainly engaged in the prehistoric archaeological investigation, excavation and research in the Gansu, Qinghai and Sichuan regions, and has made breakthroughs in the archaeology of the Qijia culture and the Lajia site in the upper reaches of the Yellow River, and the prehistoric archaeology of Sichuan. The excavation of the Lajia site in Qinghai, which he presided over, was honored as one of the top ten new archaeological discoveries in China, and his efforts in coordinating and promoting the multidisciplinary cooperative research on the archaeology of the Lajia site have made outstanding achievements. Co-authored "Shi Zhao Village and Xishanping" (Special Issue on Archaeological Excavation Reports) was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Prize of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He has presided over or participated in the projects of the National Social Science Foundation of China, the key projects of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology's support program for the exploration of the origin of Chinese civilization, the projects of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences' innovation projects, and the key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, etc., and he has published more than one hundred theses and related articles.
