Speaker Profile:
Professor Zhou Guoqing is a doctoral supervisor and professor at Tianjin University and Guilin University of Technology. He holds several prestigious titles, including National Distinguished Expert, recipient of the National Major Talent Project, a young and middle-aged expert with outstanding contributions at the national level, and a candidate for the National Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Talents Project. He has received numerous honors and awards, including the Second Prize of the Ministry of Education for Scientific and Technological Progress and seven first prizes in various categories such as Guangxi Natural Science, Guangxi Technical Invention, Guangxi Scientific and Technological Progress, China Surveying and Mapping Scientific and Technological Progress, China Geographic Information Technology Progress, and Guangxi Teaching Achievements. He has also been recognized as a highly cited researcher in China for three consecutive years (2020-2023) and listed in the "Top 2% of Global Scientists - Lifetime Scientific Impact Rankings (1960-2022)" and the "2022 Annual Scientific Impact Rankings." Professor Zhou has authored 11 specialized books, including five in English, and published over 590 SCI/EI papers, with 212 of them in SCI journals. He holds 65 patents (including 2 U.S. patents) and 49 software copyrights, many of which have been successfully applied in commercial products and are licensed to researchers and companies worldwide.
