It is reported that both teams conducted in-depth field research during the preparation of their projects, using their spare time to engage in interviews, surveys, and other forms of communication with residents, village committees, tourists, and planning-related personnel. Each group promptly summarized the progress of each research activity, established complete project work records, and provided the basis for the development of practical and feasible planning. The teams regularly organized ten project progress meetings and actively arranged collective learning and training sessions, combining theoretical guidance with practical experience, rigorous surveying, and in-depth research to ensure the high-quality and timely completion of their competition entries.

In addition, our college actively promoted planning exploration and strengthened collaboration with other disciplines within the university. Under the guidance of Professor Guoqiang Ma, a team composed of undergraduate students from the School of Management and our college worked together, integrating the characteristics of management and geography disciplines, innovating planning concepts, enhancing planning research, and expanding planning content. The team's project, "Ankou: The Porcelain Name of China, Phoenix Soars in Gaozhen Village, Ankou Town, Huating City: Village Planning (2023-2035)," achieved outstanding results.
Lanzhou University's College of Earth and Environmental Sciences continues to uphold the university's motto of "Strive Constantly, Stand Out Distinctively," rooted in the western region of China. We will continue to contribute to the national land spatial planning field. Our students will carry forward Lanzhou University's spirit of "Perseverance and Hard Work," stay at the forefront of academic research, engage with the people, continually improve their planning skills, and make unremitting efforts to contribute to the country's land spatial planning. Our college will also continue to enhance the cultivation of land spatial planning talents, aligning with regional characteristics, and aim to train more qualified planning professionals who possess solid theoretical knowledge and comprehensive skills. We look forward to our students achieving even greater success next year.
